|
|
I designed a form for a client's new website. It was working, but they have reported that while they receive submissions, what had been separate items separated by a return, are now several items on one line, separated by a space.
In other words instead of getting:
Item 1 Answer 1
Item 2 Answer 2
Item 3 Answer 3
They get:
Item 1 Answer 1 Item 2 Answer 2 Item 3 Answer 3
This is just happening in one section. They have made modifications since I handed it off, but I don't see anything specific that accounts for why this is.
Any ideas?
Thanks! |

Occasionally an email client will remove returns thinking that they are extraneous. Usually it will add a message to the email stating that it has done this. I would dig into your settings for the email client, as this is most likely the problem.

Why would the email client be causing this issue? More importantly, how does one fix that? Since the issue is caused in one of the three forms that we receive, wouldn't it be changed within the form somehow? Please explain -- thanks!! |

Some email clients do this thinking that they are removing extraneous line breaks. I have personally seen this in Microsoft Outlook.
This post on Microsoft's website shows how to disable:
